Writing

After graduating from a technical college, I established TAK Design, a graphic design business, as a self-employed entity. I began by creating business stationery, including logos, business cards, and envelopes, for companies and individuals. Subsequently, I served as a coloring book designer for the FABER-CASTELL series of colored pencils, imported by Shachihata Corporation. My responsibilities included proposal and production of illustrations, as well as the creation of marketing videos. Additionally, I served as an instructor at events where I introduced art materials and conducted hands-on lectures on coloring and the use of art materials. In the summer of 2018, I was approached by a startup venture (Asia Wins Inc.) to serve as a designer and director. I proposed and created a business model for new web advertising using cartoons and illustrations. For approximately one year, I was responsible for setting design-related fees, managing outsourcing schedules, and directing work with clients.

I subsequently relocated to Malaysia with the objective of enhancing my English language proficiency while maintaining operational control of my business from a distance. I was employed by a local company that publishes media for the Japanese market. I was initially employed by the company in a design capacity, but was subsequently promoted to the role of Editor-in-Chief. I was responsible for managing weekly newspaper content, which included news articles, lifestyle articles, and advertisements. Additionally, I conducted interviews with local companies and wrote articles about them in English. I also proofread, revised, and edited articles written by outsourcing writers. Furthermore, I managed outsourcing schedules, developed and managed in-house web content, and supervised local members of the editorial and sales departments. In response to the decline in profits resulting from the departure of Japanese personnel, which cause to shrinking Japanese market in Malaysia, during the pandemic, I spearheaded the development of a guide to returning home, which led to a 350% surge in the owned media's page views. I provide guidance to the sales manager on advertising plans from the reader's perspective and work to ensure effective collaboration between the editorial and sales departments in content creation. I have recently stepped down from my role as Editor-in-Chief to pursue further studies at a local university. My role has been revised to external advisor to the editorial department, and I am currently engaged on a remote, project-based basis. I am scheduled to graduate this December and will be seeking new employment opportunities in January. I have also re-learned UI/UX design and front-end engineering at college and in my current position in order to expand my career in design and web content.
