OVERVIEW

Creating a VR-Based Anxiety-Relief Application.

YEAR 2022

We created Sleepingworld to help people with insomnia and a sleep deprivation caused by vague anxiety.

Utilizing Unity and Oculus, we created a world where users can forget reality and relax.

Visual, auditory, and tactile approaches were taken in order to provide a more immersive experience in the world, relaxing effects, and ease of falling asleep.

In terms of sight and sound, a camping situation was created, with the night sky, camping equipment placement, rain, wind, and the sound of a campfire being staged.

In tactile sensation, wind is reproduced by using a homemade breathable pillow and a blower to blow air over the head. Blowing air to the head can lower the body temperature of the head and improve the ease of falling asleep.

This project was produced by a group of three people.

I created the camp scene and the system, created the system for setting the alarm, implemented them in VR, created the pillows, and prepared the presentation materials and manuscript.

I also hope to implement a function to evaluate the user's sleep.
